John O'Sullivan and Rommy Boco were the goal heroes as Stanley chalked up their second League Two win of the season at Notts County.
Blackburn loanee O'Sullivan saw his deflected effort ruled over the line in the 17th minute while substitute Boco scored a superb solo effort in the second half to secure the first away win of the campaign for John Coleman's men.Midfielder Scott Brown came back into the starting line-up after injury with winger Jordan Clark also getting the nod after a spell in the treatment room for the trip to Meadow Lane.
It was a lively start with the Reds stringing some good passing moves together while John Sheridan's side also looked a danger with Jon Stead leading their line.
Billy Kee fired over for the Reds in the early stages while defender Louis Laing's header was comfortable for Aaron Chapman.
Stanley opened the scoring on 17 minutes when Jordan Clark broke forward and found O'Sullivan to the right. His shot took a deflection and looped over County keeper Adam Collin and was ruled over the line despite the desperate efforts of a visiting defender to hook it out.
The Reds were enjoying the better chances with Brown firing over and, on 36 minutes, Seamus Conneely's ball to the far post had both Kee and Sean McConville challenging for it with Kee heading wide.
Clark latched onto a short back pass but couldn't capitalise and Coleman was the happier manager at half-time as his side limited County's attacking threat.
The home side came out and applied pressure after the break with Jonathan Forte putting in a number of dangerous crosses into the box and a lot of play around the Stanley box but the Reds were able to deal with the threat.
Coleman had to switch his side around on the hour mark as goalscorer O'Sullivan limped off, replaced by Boco.
And the former Benin captain proved influential in the 67th minute when he raced down the left wing, cut into the box and fired low past keeper Collin to give the Reds a two-goal lead.McConville could have added a third but Collin pushed away his goalbound strike while Laing wasn't far off for County in the 80th minute.Stanley held firm to secure the three points which moves them towards mid-table - and their first league clean sheet of the season.
