Stanley v Leyton Orient

24 March 2016

The Easter weekend begins for the Reds with a home game against fellow promotion chasers Leyton Orient.

John Coleman's men will be hoping to do the double over the O's, who they defeated away from home back in October.[vc_accordion][vc_accordion_tab title="The Opposition"]

Leyton Orient returned to the fourth tier of the Football League for the first time since 2006 when they were relegated last season.

Four managers in the campaign showed their struggles as the London side slipped out of League One.

Their aim must surely be a swift return and the O's were among the frontrunners in the opening part of the new campaign, returning to the promotion mix after Kevin Nolan replaced Ian Hendon in the manager's office earlier in the campaign.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Manager"]

Kevin Nolan was appointed as O's player-manager on January 21st this year, signing a two-and-a-half year deal.

Nolan, 33, has enjoyed a successful playing career at the top level of English football with the likes of West Ham United, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers, amassing more than 500 career appearances.

He will continue to add to that in a Leyton Orient shirt as he combines playing with his first managerial role.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="One to Watch"]Tricky forward Jay Simpson signed a three-year deal with Leyton Orient in July 2014.

Simpson came through the ranks at Arsenal and broke into the first team but, after loan spells at Millwall, West Bromwich Albion and QPR, the striker signed permanently for Hull City in 2010.

During his three years with Hull, Simpson made 86 appearances and scored 13 goals before moving to Thailand.

He returned to England in the summer of 2014 and has 23 goals in 40 appearances for the O's this season.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Form Guide"][vc_text_separator title="Stanley: DLWDW" color="juicy_pink"]The Reds are unbeaten in their last three matches and have tasted defeat just once in their last five games.

John Coleman's side will be out to make it back to back wins after triumphing at Dagenham and continue a run of just one home defeat since October.

They remain fifth in League Two, just a point behind third placed Bristol Rovers.[vc_text_separator title="Leyton Orient: WDLWW" color="juicy_pink"]The O's are looking to record a third successive win after victories over Oxford United and Morecambe.

Their away form is good, with Nolan's team not having tasted defeat away from home in 2016.

They sit in the final play-off place ahead of kick off, two points better off than eighth placed Wycombe.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Stanley Team News"]The Reds could welcome back Terry Gornell and Josh Windass following ankle and groin injuries respectively.

New loan signing Tariqe Fosu awaits confirmation on whether he will be eligible to feature.

Midfielder Matt Crooks remains sidelined with an ankle problem, with Adam Buxton remaining doubtful with a foot problem.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Admission Details"][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Match Coverage"]
