Billy Kee believes enjoying his football is more important than anything else after committing his future to Accrington Stanley.
The 17 goal striker's new deal sees him contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.
His form this season has led to interest from elsewhere but the 25-year-old insists Stanley are the team for him.
“In the last couple of weeks I've had five or ten clubs get in touch with my agent but what I was bothered about is where I'm happiest playing,” he explained.
“I thought about it long and hard, me and my missus and my mum and dad sat down and we came to the decision that it's not about the money. For the extra few quid what is the point upping and moving somewhere else in the country? If somebody wants to come and get you they should come in and buy you. That's the way football should be for me.
“If someone really wants me they can put up the money and come and get me. If everyone comes to an agreement then I'll go but I love it here, I love the people around the place so I've got no interest in leaving at the end of the season.
“I can see how far this club has come in the last six years and how far it can still go. There's a new owner, plans for a new stand and a training ground and it's going to be a lovely place to be. I want to be involved in that.
“Anyone who comes to watch us must be impressed. I'd say we are the best footballing team in the league. It's a lovely thing to play in this team because it's so enjoyable.”
