Stanley's second long away trip in a week sees them travel to AFC Wimbledon

After midweek defeat John Coleman's team will want to get back to winning ways against one of their promotion rivals.[vc_accordion][vc_accordion_tab title="The Opposition"]The club have been very successful since their formation, winning four promotions in a decade. They spent one season in the Isthmian First Division, winning the title in the 2004/05 season.

They then spent three seasons in the Isthmian Premier Division and won promotion after beating Staines Town 2-1 in the play offs in the 2007/08 season. The Dons then made it back to back promotions by winning the Conference South title in the 2008/09 season.

They spent the following two seasons in the Conference Premier, before being promoted in the 2010/11 season after beating Luton Town on penalties in the play-off final after finishing in 2nd place in the league.The club have then spent the last four seasons in League Two and finished in 15th place last season.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Manager"]Neal Ardley was appointed AFC Wimbledon manager in October 2012 following the departure of Terry Brown. He joined the Dons from Cardiff City, where he had been Academy Manager since 2007.

Wimbledon were Ardley's first club as a player and, as a winger and occasional right-back, he made almost 250 appearances for Wimbledon between 1991 and 2002, when he moved to Watford.

He was capped ten times by England at Under-21 level. After more than 100 appearances for the Hornets he spent a season apiece with Cardiff and Millwall and was made head of the Cardiff Academy when he hung up his boots in 2007.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="One to Watch"]Powerful and experienced frontman Akinfenwa needs no introduction to Stanley fans. ‘The Beast' once scored a hat-trick for former club Northampton at the Crown Ground.

He signed for the Dons in June 2014 after his release from Gillingham. ‘Bayo' has been a consistent goalscorer in over a decade with clubs in the lower two tiers of the Football League. He lists Torquay, Swansea, Millwall, Northampton and the Gills among his former clubs.

He has five goals this season and is a real focal point for his team.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Form Guide"][vc_text_separator title="Stanley: DWWDL" color="juicy_pink"]Stanley's five match unbeaten run came to a halt with a 1-0 defeat at Yeovil in midweek.

They'll be out to return to winning ways at Kingsmeadow and pick up a third victory in five games.

John Coleman's side remain fourth in League Two, eight points behind third placed Plymouth and four ahead of their hosts.[vc_text_separator title="AFC Wimbledon: WWWLD" color="blue"]The Dons are without a win in their last two games but won the previous three matches to thrust themselves into play-off contention.

Their last outing was a creditable draw against League Two leaders Northampton.

Ardley's men are eighth in the table, just a point outside the play-off spots.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="Stanley Team News"]There's no new injury news ahead of the trip south.

Dean Winnard and Josh Windass continue to step up their recoveries after both underwent surgery.

Striker Terry Gornell remains ruled out with an ankle injury and defender Joe Wright's ankle problem could keep him out of contention for six to eight weeks.[/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title="The Ground"]Kingsmeadow (Cherry Red Records Stadium) is shared by AFC Wimbledon and Kingstonian with the former having started playing there in 2002 before purchasing the ground a year later.
