Ahead of Saturday's home game with Crawley Town and a busy month of fixtures, local under 12's are being given the opportunity to visit Accrington Stanley for free – and receive a special gift in the process.
Vouchers giving free entry to home games for all under 12s (when accompanied by a paying adult) have gone out to every primary school in Hyndburn.
Anyone presenting the voucher when buying or using pre-bought tickets at the ground on match days will also receive a free limited edition Accrington Stanley talking Jesse McClure doll.
American TV star Jesse, from Storage Hunters and Storage Hunters UK, is brand ambassador for Stanley's shirt sponsor PlasticBoxShop and has been made in miniature for this special promotion.
Sporting a Stanley-badged shirt under his trademark leather jacket, the Jesse doll speaks five phrases including 'Accrington Stanley, the club that wouldn't die!'
“Since working over here I've become a big fan,” said Jesse. “It's my nature to side with the underdog and I love everything about the club ─ its fantastic history, the way it's fought against the odds to survive and most of all its army of fans.”As well as distribution through local schools, the promotional vouchers are available from the club and its new shop in Accrington Market Hall, where the limited edition doll is also on sale for £10. The vouchers are valid until February 29th, meaning they can be used for the games with Crawley, Carlisle, Notts County and Barnet.
