Stanley goalscorer John O'Sullivan admits even he was surprised that he found the net at Woking with a header.
The Blackburn Rovers loanee arrived to meet a left wing cross and guide home his second goal of the season at Kingfield to ensure the Reds won 3-0 and booked a spot in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
It was unfamilar territory for the winger but he was delighted to have played his part.
“I was saying to the lads that I think that's the first time I've scored a header in my career!" laughed the Irishman. "Jimmy Bell has been screaming at me to get into the box, I ran a good 30 yards to get in there, it was a great ball in from Jordan Clark and I was just happy to get on the end of it.
“Woking started off really well and got us on the back foot but I think we weathered the storm and settled down a little bit. That's what you have to do in FA Cup games. We then got the goal and then after the sending off it was all us.
“Once we got the goal they had to come out a little bit more and defend a bit less it opened the game up and that suited us. Credit to Billy, who has worked hard this week. He got his two goals and we're delighted for him.
“Just before the sending off you could tell we were getting on top. We got the goal before it but of course the sending off was key. It's tough enough to try to win with eleven, let alone ten.
“We got the clean sheet, got the three goals and for myself personally it was great because I've been knocking on the door for a few weeks now and was just delighted to score and help the team."
Premier League and Championship sides now join the competition and O'Sullivan and his team mates will have their eyes on this evening's draw.
“We just want to get someone who we can challenge and hopefully beat," he said. "We want to go as far as we can. The FA Cup is great for the fans, to travel to different places and things like that, and it's great for the club financially.
“We'll be watching the draw and hoping we get a good one. We knew that beating Woking gave us a chance of an Arsenal, Chelsea, United or City and we've won. I think 80% of the people on the team bus would want Liverpool! I just want the club to go as far as we can. It'd be great to have a long run."
