Coleman hails Luton win

9 April 2016

John Coleman was delighted with his team's performance after they climbed into the top three of League Two with a 2-0 win at Luton Town.

Scott Brown and Terry Gornell scored in the second half to see the Reds move up to third.

The manager thinks it's a significant moment.

"We've always said we want to get into the top three and now the next job is to stay there," he said. "That in itself will pose problems. There are some great teams below us now and a couple of great teams above us and we class ourselves as a great team so there's still a lot to play for.

"Nothing's been decided today and I must compliment Luton who played their part in a cracking game. I think it was a great advert for League Two football and on another day they could have gone into half time 2-0 up.

"They took the game to us and it was an open game. At times it was backs to the wall for us but we stood firm and I thought we defended really well in the second half.

"I thought it was a good counter attacking performance and for the last 15 minutes we managed to force Luton back which is testament to how well our players played."
