Accrington Stanley's Academy side fell to defeat at the Wham Stadium against Wrexham on Saturday.
Stanley's youngsters could not build on their 2-0 win at Blackpool last time out as goals from Leroy Jennings, Jamie McColl and a Ryan Williams brace secured three points for the Welsh side.
Wrexham began brightly as a Jennings header forced a good save from keeper Jack Little early on.
However, Stanley's defence was breached shortly after. The Reds failed to deal with McColl's corner and Jennings pounced to fire home a low strike that Little just failed to keep out.
Wrexham doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time as Phillips' deep cross was headed home by McColl from close range.
Stanley made two substitutions during the break in the hope of stemming the flow but within 10 minutes of the restart they conceded a third.
Phillips' cross was cleared as far as the edge of the area and, from Jennings' scuffed effort, Williams applied the finishing touch to divert the ball home.
Reuban Dass showed neat footwork down the left to weave a path inside and fire at Wrexham keeper Reece Airey, but the attempt was smothered.
Williams capped his brace in the dying embers of the game, firing home from 20 yards to seal the win and see off Stanley.
