Proc's Stanley XI

9 September 2015

In two spells with Stanley Andy Procter has seen the club move up from the Unibond League to the Football League.

To mark ten seasons in League Two, he's selected his best eleven made up of team mates from the last decade.

Over the season to come, the official website and match day programme will be building an Ultimate Football League Dream Team based on your suggestions.

Goalkeeper – Rob Elliot

Very commanding of his penalty area and a very good shot stopper who's gone on to play at the top level.

Right Back – Peter Cavanagh

Good distribution, calm on the ball and captained the club to two promotions.

Centre Back – Phil Edwards

Great reading of the game and was always in the right place, very good in the air for his size and chipped in with some important goals.

Centre Back – Dean Winnard

Good all-round defender – quick, strong and passionate.

Left Back – Joe Jacobson

Good defender – strong in the air with good distribution.

Holding Midfielder – Me!

Holding Midfielder – Luke Joyce

Read danger very well and filled holes, strong in the air and tackles, got on the ball and got us playing.

Attacking Midfielder – Jimmy Ryan

Technically very good, struck a great ball and scored some important goals to get us to the Play-Offs.

Attacking Midfielder – Ian Craney

Fantastic ability – strong, could beat people and score goals.

Attacking Midfielder – Gary Roberts

Accrington's version of George Best – very creative, walks past people, can pick a pass, can score and create goals.

Centre Forward – Paul Mullin

Big, strong, led the line, linked play, unbelievable in the air and a great goal scorer.
