Stanley went goal crazy as they put five past York City to make it five wins out of the last six games.
Matty Pearson's deflected effort and Billy Kee's tap-in gave Stanley a 2-0 lead at half-time against the Minstermen who are battling at the wrong end of the League Two table.
Then Josh Windass fired home a penalty – his 11th goal of the campaign so far - before Kee added a controversial fourth on 72 minutes.Loan signing Bradley Fewster got one back for York before sub Shay McCartan curled home a solo effort two minutes from time.
It was an impressive show by the Reds in tough, rainy conditions as they celebrated their first win at Bootham Crescent since the 2005/6 Conference-winning season.
Stanley should have gone ahead as early as the eighth minute when keeper Scott Flinders dropped a Sean McConville free kick, the ball fell into the path of Kee but he fired wide of an open goal.
However Stanley were soon ahead on 15 minutes when a Windass free kick hit the wall and bounced out to Pearson 20 yards out and his effort took a deflection past Flinders.
Tottenham loan signing Kenny McEvoy was one of five debutants starting for York and he was causing problems on the right for Stanley.
He put a ball in which unmarked striker Vadaine Oliver was inches from connecting with while, at the other end, McConville scuffed a shot over in a decent position.
Stanley doubled their advantage on 33 minutes after superb work by McConville who took the ball down well, put in a perfect cross and Kee was there to tap home at the far post.
Winger McEvoy remained a threat for York and, five minutes before the break, his ball into the box was headed goalwards by Michael Coulson with Joe Wright having to clear off the line.
Stanley forced the better chances at the start of the second half and Windass made it three on 61 minutes.
The frontman was brought down in the area and fired home his fifth spot kick of the season.
Windass was booked for his celebrations in front of the York fans – and was subbed shortly after with McCartan replacing him.
And it was four in controversial circumstances on 72 minutes. York felt there was a foul by McCartan as Stanley pressed and stood still as McConville shot, Flinders couldn't keep it out and Kee tapped home his second much to the outrage of the home players and fans.
They did have something to celebrate however on 75 minutes when sub and another debutant Fewster, from Middlesbrough, scored a solo effort, driving the ball past Jason Mooney.
However McCartan made it a miserable afternoon for York, running into the visiting half and curling the ball home on 88 minutes for his first goal of the campaign.
