John Coleman says his side can play better – despite their 5-1 win at York City which moved the Reds up to fourth in the league.
Matty Pearson, Billy Kee (2), a Josh Windass penalty and a Shay McCartan wonder goal gave the Reds a five star show at Bootham Crescent.
However Coleman felt his side could have put on a better show.
“It was a comprehensive result but not a comprehensive performance by any stretch of the imagination,” said Coleman.
“We are capable of playing better and we have played miles better than that. We got sloppy in the second half and gave the ball away too much so it was a learning exercise as we have to see out games better.
“We were breathtaking in spells and Sean McConville was unplayable at times and he showed what a talent he is – he has been showing it all season – but we need to put teams under more sustained pressure.
“Every three points is like gold dust, especially away from home, and you have to congratulate the lads and give credit but I don't think we played anywhere near how we can play.”
