Luke Joyce admits it's been an ‘up and down' season for the Reds after their 17th place finish.
The Stanley captain, who along with Dean Winnard is the longest serving player at the club with six seasons under his belt, is one of those who is currently in contract talks with manager John Coleman.
But he has looked back on the 2014/15 season as one of inconsistency as, after getting to the fringe of the play-offs in January, the Reds fell away with two wins in their final 14 games.
“It has been an up and down season,” said Joyce. “Obviously there was the change of manager with James Beattie leaving early on and John Coleman coming in.
“The lads have had to deal with different managers and then obviously different players have come and gone as the season has gone on.
“Overall, I guess it has been a decent season, we have secured our 10th season in the Football League and that's a massive achievement for the club the size of ours, but we are disappointed we haven't finished further up the league.“It was good to finish with a win against Mansfield especially at home as the fans deserved that.”
Joyce knows that there will be more changes next season and one of these could be the addition of Blackburn Rovers midfielder and Stanley fan David Dunn.
“I guess it will be a bit like when James Beattie came to the club and, if David comes, there will be a lot of media attention and it may bring more revenue into the club having someone like him here,” added Joyce.
“He is also a very good footballer so it's something which could be massive for Accrington Stanley.”
