Billy Kee will make his first start for the Reds after returning in the summer while Sean McConville will also make his second Stanley debut.
Huddersfield loanee Joe Wright starts in defence with Jason Mooney getting the nod for the first half in goal.
Former Stanley winger Connor Mahoney, who came through the ranks with the Reds, starts for Blackburn. John O' Sullivan, who was on loan with Stanley last season, could also feature for Rovers after the break.
