Coley: We will get it right

7 February 2015

John Coleman says he will get it right after Accrington Stanley slipped to a fifth successive league defeat.

The Reds lost out to Lewis Alessandra's 42nd minute strike at Plymouth but boss Coleman says they will turn this bad form around.

He said: “We have been undone by an individual mistake again and it's costing us.

“Seamus (Conneely) didn't mean to do it but individual mistakes have happened too often over the last four weeks and we are being punished.

“The positive is we did keep going until the end and we could have nicked an equaliser but, while our approach play was good, we chose the wrong pass too many times and we couldn't hit the target.

“Our crossing was woeful and our finishing was woeful and we have got to improve on it.

“We are going into our biggest game of the season against Oxford and Tuesday and we have got to win it.

“We have got to put it right and I cannot be too downhearted or else everyone will go under with me.

“We have got to stick together and got to stay focused, get the tactics right and select the right team. The players have got to be as fired up as I am.”

New signings keeper Scott Davies and striker Terry Gornell won the praise of Coleman.

“Scott made some great saves and Terry battled away. We have got to keep battling away and believe our luck will change.”
