Carver up for JPT Award

Stanley striker Marcus Carver has been shortlisted for the first Johnstone's Paint Trophy Ultimate of the season.

The 20-year-old's stunning strike against Carlisle is in the running for the award.

Ten goals have been shortlisted for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy goal of the round competition, with football fans around the country now having the chance to have their say on the eventual winner via a public vote.

With almost 40 goals scored in first round week, even making the shortlist proved an achievement.

And now supporters are left with the difficult task of selecting the winner from the goals nominated.

The successful player will receive the Ultimate Finish trophy and a place in the Ultimate Finish of the Season competition, while all fans who vote for the winning strike will be entered into a special prize draw with one lucky winner receiving an iPod Shuffle.
