John Coleman wants his team to put on a show as they look to get back to winning ways against Hartlepool United tomorrow night.
The Reds have lost their last two games but are hoping for that to change against a Pools side who come to the Store First Stadium without a manager after a disappointing start to the season.
Coleman had his own frustrations with a defeat at the weekend and is now keen to try to entertain the home supporters and put some points on the board.
"I could have gone to Stevenage on Saturday and blocked the game up and probably got a 0-0," he explained. "That's just not my nature and never will be. It's probably one of the things I beat myself up over on a Saturday night or a Sunday evening. I have to accept that I am what I am. What I am is someone who is very passionate about football and who wants to win games.
"I can't believe anyone ever goes out and wants to get a draw. Sometimes we might be wide open but if we're doing it in a way that is pinning the other team back then that's not a problem. It's when you are wide open and not causing the opposition a problem that you really have to worry."
Coleman believes that good football will eventually get the turnstiles spinning as the club looks to attract supporters old and new - but one thing will bring them in more.
"We need to win at home because our lifeblood is going to be attracting supporters to games," he said. "The nature of the beast is that you need to win at home to enthuse fans. Some fans will go away thinkin 'we played ever so well and lost' but the majority won't.
"Everyone is more enthused by winning so our first focus has to be winning at home and hopefully bringing in increased numbers. If we can play attractive football that might bring in more still.
"Then we have to try to attract fans of other clubs who might not have a game but you have to give them a product that they'll enjoy. Firstly we have to attract our own supporters and they need to see us winning."
