Accrington Stanley Community Trust is delighted to announce that we have secured funding to deliver another Employability Course.
This will be the clubs second year of running the project, following the success of last year's course. This project is funded by the European Union, via the European Social Fund who have granted us £13,000.
The aim of the project is to help unemployed local people become more employable. Workshops will cover CV writing, job searching and interview skills as well as improving communication skills and confidence. The participants will also be enrolled on an FA Level One Coaching award, which could be their first step to a career in the sports industry. This will be delivered by Lancashire FA and includes an emergency aid and safeguarding certificate.
Project manager Lee Walsh explains ‘last year was a great success and I know a lot of those who passed the course have now found employment, there are also a couple who are now coaching football at local grassroots teams, I am confident this year can be bigger and better'
The course will be based at the Store First Stadium later in the year with exact dates being announced soon. Lunch will also be provided for everyone on the course! 24 places are available and these are expected to fill up quickly, for more info or to reserve your place please contact the trust 01254 304071 or email lee.walsh@stanleytrust.co.uk
