Stanley began their pre-season campaign with an entertaining 5-2 win over Evo Stik First Division North side New Mills.
Goals from Marcus Carver, George Bowerman, Will Hatfield and two from Kal Naismith gave the Reds vitory.
A strong visiting side made a bright start and took the lead inside two minutes. Shay McCartan won his side a penalty and Naismith strode up to calmly dispatch the kick into the top left corner to open the scoring.
Moments later McCartan was off target as he looked to add a second before the non-league side levelled with their first serious attack. Eleven minutes were on the clock when Daniel Douglas Pringle broke the offside trap, rounded Cameron Belford and equalised.
James Beattie's side were soon on top again though, with a low Naismith drive turned over the bar by home goalkeeper Peter Collinge as they looked to hit back immediately.
Collinge was called into action again to push a bullet header from Mingoia round the post but the Reds netted from the resulting corner with Carver heading in a Josh Windass corner at the far post.
Beattie made ten outfield changes for the second period and saw the Millers pull a goal back early in the half when Daniel Shaw netted with a powerful header from a right wing corner.
But it was a short lived comeback, with Stanley restoring their two goal lead in the 57th minute. Half time sub Bowerman was the scorer, sidefooting the ball beyond the keeper to make it 4-2.
The Reds mustered further chances after a lengthy delay following an injury to a linesman, with James Gray denied from a low free kick before Bowerman forced a terrific save with a towering header.
A fifth goal came from the penalty spot with Will Hatfield tripped in the box and stepping up to convert it himself with a low strike into the left corner of the net.
