Preview: ASFC Youth v West Ham Youth

9 December 2013

Stanley youth are in FA Youth Cup Third Round action tomorrow evening as they host West Ham United youth.

It has been far from an easy task reaching this stage, as they where pitched against their North West Football League Youth Alliance counterparts Carlisle United in the First Round.

Dalian Barker, Max Hazeldine and Connor Mahoney goals cancelled out an early Cumbrian opener, ensuring Stanley progressed into the Second Round.

A 206 mile round trip awaited the Reds in Round Two, where they travelled to Evo-Stick Northern Premier outfit Ilkeston.

A single Nathan Webb header was all that was required to line up a glamour tie with West Ham United.

Stanley head into the game unbeaten in seven in all competitions, but known they will have to be at their best if they are to get the better of one of the countries premium youth academy's.

The Hammers youth setup is highly respected bringing through some of the biggest names in the English game such as Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand.

The visitors are unbeaten in nine games coming into this fixture, and Keith Brown's men will have to keep a close eye on Kieran Bywater who has notched 13 goals in 15 appearances this season.

Tickets are priced at £5 adults, £3 concessions and £1 for under-12's that are accompanied by an adult.

The game will take place at the Store First stadium, kick-off 7pm.
